Celebrating Excellence: M Gnanasihamany Winner of the 2025 Graduate Student Essay Award
UAAC-AAUC is pleased to announce that M Gnanasihamany has been awarded the 2025 Graduate Student Essay Award for their paper, “Seeing Through Carceral Geographies: Translucency as Abolitionist Aesthetic Method.”
Originally presented at the 2025 UAAC-AAUC Conference at York University as part of Sarv Iraji’s panel Material of Refusal: Observations on Iconography of Resistance, Gnanasihamany’s research demonstrates innovative critical thinking, and will be published on the RACAR journal.
